Homeward Family Shelter (Julliette’s Place) provides safe, short-term emergency shelter to women and children fleeing violence and abuse and helps them to build their skills through educational programs and support services.
Rose Volunteers members and friends were happy to attend the March 4th, 2020 fundraiser at Boston Pizza, near Hwy. 401 and Morningside. It was a fun event with Julliette’s Place staff and students becoming servers for the event. They did a great job and 10% of every bill went to Julliette’s Place. There were many great baskets available for the raffle including one with an assortment of school supplies, one with an assortment of craft beer, one with movies and one mystery basket that turned out to have several good gift cards. There was also a 50/50 draw.
Julliette’s Place is well run and we know that our support helps these women and children during a difficult time.
